Our HOSTAS display a wide variety of sizes, shapes and leaf patterns. They are gardeners' favorites among shade-tolerant plants.
We have many HOSTAS that are established plants growing in 1- gallon pots. They are ready to plant in Spring, Summer, or Fall (and Winter in some areas).
We also offer Bare-Root (without soil) HOSTAS. All of our HOSTAS are hardy in zones 3 to 9. PRICING: $6.00 each for Bare-Root plants (these can be easily shipped) $8.00 each for established plants in one-gallon pots.

SHADE & SUN: In our climate with its hot, humid summers, we find our HOSTAS need filtered sun or shade during the hottest days. They really flourish in filtered or indirect sunlight, such as under trees, and often benefit from morning sun.
SLUGS & SNAILS: Some HOSTAS are prey to slugs, snails, and beetles that enjoy eating them. There are some natural remedies such as diatomaceous earth. Also, HOSTAS with more "substance," (that is, thicker, tougher leaves), are more resistant to pests. The most notable of these we have indicated in the plant descriptions as "Slug-resistant."

HOSTAS on this page are arranged in order of FOLIAGE (leaves) height, tallest to shortest. Please note that in plant descriptions, H = foliage height , W = plant width, and FH = flower height (if applicable).
